Anything Goes has music and lyrics by Cole Porter and is set on an ocean liner where night club singer Reno Sweeney is en route to England. Her pal Billy has stowed away to be near his love, Hope, but she is engaged to a wealthy Lord. Also on board are Public Enemy #13, Moonface Martin and his sidekick-in-crime Erma. With the help of disguises, tap-dancing sailors and blackmail, Reno and Martin join forces to help Billy win Hope. Songs include: "I Get a Kick Out of You"; "You'd Be So Easy to Love; You're the Top; "It's De-Lovely; "Let's Misbehave", "It's De-lovely", and "Blow, Gabriel, Blow".

Du Barry Was a Lady (1939) has music and lyrics by Cole Porter and starred Bert Lahr, Ethel Merman and Betty Grable. In 1943, the musical was made into a movie starring Red Skelton, Lucille Ball and Gene Kelly. Songs include - Friendship; Well, Did You Evah!; Give Him the Ooh-La-La; It Ain't Etiquette; But in the Morning, No!; Katie Went to Haiti.
